Sano Steam Referral Program — Terms

Eligibility

  • Customer referrals require the referrer to be a current or past paying Sano Steam customer.
  • Trade partner referrals require a one-page partner agreement (1099 contractor relationship — no employee status).
  • The referred friend cannot already be a Sano Steam customer on file, and must not have been referred by anyone else in the prior 30 days.
  • The referrer's phone number cannot be the same as the friend's.

Reward tiers (locked at submission)

The reward tier is determined by the type of service your friend ends up booking. The tier is locked at the time you submit the referral — if a partner submits a “cleaning” referral that closes as a water damage / mold remediation job, the cleaning reward still applies.

  • Cleaning (carpet, upholstery, tile, dryer vent, pressure wash): customers earn $25 Sano credit; their friend gets $15 off their first cleaning. Trade partners earn $40 by check or Zelle.
  • Premium (air duct cleaning, ActivePure, Cloud 9 Air Quality, anti-microbial whole-home): customers earn $75 Sano credit; their friend gets $50 off. Trade partners earn $100.
  • Water Damage / Mold Testing & Remediation (water damage, mold testing, fire/smoke): customers earn $250 Sano credit; their friend gets $150 off. Trade partners earn $500 or 10% of the final invoice, whichever is greater, capped at $2,500.

Payout timing and method

  • Customersreceive a Sano credit applied automatically to their next invoice. Credit is applied within 14 days of the friend's job being paid in full.
  • Trade partners are paid by check (mailed) or Zelle, 14 days after the customer pays in full. Cumulative partner payouts of $600 or more in a calendar year require a W-9 on file (IRS 1099-NEC threshold).

Expiration and disputes

  • Referrals expire 90 days from submission if the friend doesn't book in that window.
  • Sano reserves the right to decline payouts in cases of fraud, self-referral, or material misrepresentation. Disputes are resolved at Sano's reasonable discretion.

Excluded partners

For regulatory reasons, this program does not currently accept submissions from licensed North Carolina real estate brokers (subject to NCREC Rule 21 NCAC 58A .0109's vendor-compensation restrictions) or from public adjusters (NC GS § 58-33A-80). Sano maintains separate, compliant programs for these audiences upon request.

Privacy and contact consent

By submitting a referral, you confirm your friend has asked you to recommend a cleaning service and consents to being contacted by Sano Steam regarding that service. Sano will only use your friend's information to schedule the service they need and will not share it with third parties.

SMS / Text Messaging

When you check the “referral updates by text” box on the referral form, you provide express written consent for Sano Steam Cleaning & Restoration to send you transactional text messages (SMS) related to this referral — including when we contact your friend, status updates on the job, and payout notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for help.

The promotional/marketing SMS opt-in on the referral form is a separate, optional checkbox and is not required to submit a referral or receive payout. Marketing consent is collected independently from transactional consent. You can opt out of either stream at any time by replying STOP.

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile opt-in information is used solely to deliver the messages described above. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
